Bilagi Sugar Mill Limited (BSML) is a Public Limited Company registered in the State of Karnataka under the Companies Act, 1956 bearing Certificate of Incorporation Number (CIN) U15429KA2001PLCO29788 dated -19-11-2001, with site located at Girisagar Road, Village Badagandi, Taluk - Bilagi, Dist. Bagalkot, Karnataka.

Bilagi Sugar mill Limited is promoted with keen and active interest taken by Shri. S.R.Patil, Chairman, Bilagi Sugar Mill Limited (BSML), Badagandi and who is former minister and MLC opposition leader in Karnataka Legislative Council and MLC in Karnataka Legislative Council last 20 years in the government of Karnataka.

Bilagi Sugar Mill Limited (BSML) is engaged in manufacturing of white crystal Sugar, Electricity & Fuel Alcohol (Ethanol), Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) etc with sugar plant of 10000 TCD capacity & 60 MW bagasse based co-generation plant. BSML has undertaken 1st trial crushing season in 2005-06. BSML will proposed to expand capacity of sugar factory to 20000 TCD of sugar cane crushing along with Ethanol plant having a capacity of 500 KLPD. BSML has crushed 13.5 Lakh MT of cane during last crushing season 2021-22.

The company has achieved tremendous growth acceleration in the last 5 years & has aggressive plans for the near future. Since its inception, the Company has been helping the surrounding villages for their socio-economic development through direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The factory is located at Girisagar Road, Village Badagandi, Taluk - Bilagi, Dist. Bagalkot, and Karnataka. The closest town to the factory is Bilagi is at the distance of 3 kms. BSML is residing besides to the highway No. 218 providing easy transportation for goods as well as for its employees. We have provided house rent for all employees residing at Bilagi with pick and drop facility having own transportation. BSML is placed very elegantly in a desirable and picturesque location that provides for a good work environment.

The factory provides Cane seeds and Seedlings to the farmers for cultivation, to help build a mutual relationship of trust and goodwill. In the surrounding areas, irrigation facilities by way of bore wells, own pump sets and lift irrigation from Krishna River prove to be useful for the agricultural activities. These facilities help especially during summer, as sugarcane needs plenty of water for good yield.

It is a integrated sugar complex with complete automation of the sugar and power production process. Its present capacity is 10000 TCD, 38 MW of power from its COGEN plant and 200 KLPD Ethanol plant is under erection. The location of the factory is benefited by its proximity to the sugarcane belt also called as high recovery area. This specific sugarcane belt exists in the north Karnataka region and extends as a result, BSML has a procurement of 25 lakh tones of sugarcane within a 25 kms radius and another 1.5 lakh tones within a 40 km radius approximately. In the four years of operation company has produced good quality of sugar and also introduced new technology like continuous pan which is one of its kinds of own. The quality of its sugar is also comparable to the best and therefore fetches the premium rate in the market.
